Juniper

Juniper was a slightly taller girl, her dirty blond locks fell around her shoulders, she had a way of making her hair symbolize her mood. In happiness it bounced on her shoulders, seemingly smiling and waving to the people it passed, like the guest of honor at the local parade, slow waves, not full sweeping waves, but cordial and formal, some might have thought it was a fake wave but the smile was real, her hair was happy, bouncy bundle of golden sunshine, shimmering in the warmth of the summer's day. When Juniper was sad her hair pouted, falling limp, gothically covering her eyes at points, forcing her to huff it out of the way or clear it from her line of vision. Sad sulky hair, it gained more weight and bored down on her shoulders like it had been encased in cement, it made her slouch and her eyes squinted more from the weight of her head.
On this certain day Juniper's hair was tangled, it seemed confused and knotted. She had just had lunch with her father at their favorite deli, they had gone there for years, her father loved the pastrami on rye, juniper always got the ham on white, with just a smidgen of mayonaise, one pickle at each end of the bread, two small squirts of mustard, always brown mustard, never yellow, lettuce but only if it didn't have any brown spots, if it had brown spots then she would rather have sprouts, one slice of provolone, and two slices of tomato. All of this came with chips on the side but she substitued these with cookies and instead of a regular drink from the fountain, she had brought her own tea, which she carried in a metal thermos. The meal was good as usual, but her father seemed distant, his chatter was restrained, and he kept looking out the window of the deli into the park that was adjacent to the table they sat at.

only had a little while to start this gonna leave work now, i dunno what's going on with juniper haha i dunno if i should finish it or not
